Our online offerings also include curated digital collections of histohisrical documents and photos. Haven't been to the Library for a while, check out our offerings from your home or favorite hot spot.
Most of the collections below can be accessed with your Evergreen Library Card. A few, such as Ancestry and HeritageQuest, require that you use them directly from the Library. You're welcome to schedule time on one of our computers, or bring your laptop and connect to our network.
This collection provides access to obscure historical accounts and photographs of the early years of Adams County including county histories, documentation of the first known “Peace Monument,” and the history of the press in Adams County.
This collection makes available some Adams County records through a project of the Adams Public Library System. Current records include statistical reports by township from the Adams County Assessor’s Office digitized by the Library.
An index (2000- ) of the Decatur Daily Democrat local news and local obituaries (1860- ).
Access to census records, vital records, city directories, military records, immigration records, and more. Free access to these resources is limited to searching within the library’s networks.
Auto Repair Reference Center & Small Engine Repair Reference Center are two collections accessible within the library’s networks. Auto Repair includes diagnostic diagrams, repair information, technical bulletins, recall information, specs and more for domestic and imported vehicles from 1954 to the present. Small Engine Repair includes ATVs, generators, boat motors, motorcycles, outdoor power equipment, personal water craft, snowmobiles, and tractors.

Gale Courses offers a wide range of highly interactive, instructor led courses available online through the library. Any library cardholder in good standing is entitled to take these courses at no cost. Approximately 300 six-week sessions are available with new sessions beginning each month.
Gene Stratton-Porter, a well-known author and naturalist from Indiana, lived at the Limberlost Cabin in Geneva for many years. This collection includes digitized photographs, letters, newspaper accounts, hand-colored postcards, and other memorabilia in the collections of the Adams Public Library System and the Limberlost State Historic Site.
HeritageQuest® Online is a comprehensive treasury of American genealogical sources rich in unique primary sources, local and family histories, and finding aids.
INSPIRE is Indiana's Virtual Online Library offering a collection of online academic databases and other information resources that can be accessed free by Indiana residents. INSPIRE includes full-text magazine and journal articles, websites, pamphlets, images, almanacs, full-text historic newspapers, multimedia, library catalogs, and much more.
The Library’s digital ebooks and eAudio books are available through Overdrive. These resources are available to resident, non-resident and PLAC cardholders.
The premier source of business and residential information, ReferenceUSA includes databases on businesses, internships, healthcare, consumer information, new movers, US and Canadian new businesses, and standard white pages.
Collection of over 1000 online and interactive children’s books. Quizzes, games, puzzles and more add to the learning environment. Easy access inside the library, and free access outside the library with a valid library card.
