Children's Services

Children's services includes regular Early Literacy Classes for all ages, summer reading programs, 1000 Books before Kindergarten, and other reading programs. The creative Play area includes Legos, puppets, costumes, and more for fun interactive learning.

The Makerspace, which is now open all week during normal library hours, offers new and cutting edge technology to the community! Be creative with our sewing machine, Cricut , Learn how to digitize your negatives, and also learn about 3D printing with our printers. Watch for events coming up!


Storybook Park

Storybook Park

Storybook Park, in Decatur, is a great outdoor space that is used for a variety of Library Programs. We hold our Summer Concert Series and Tai Chi in the Park there. The space is also available for rental to the public, see an APLS staff member for more details.
